Taking place in 14 cities nationwide, the Breast Cancer 3-Day is a three day, 60-mile walk that provides an opportunity to educate tens of thousands of people about breast health, including the importance of early detection. Proceeds from the Breast Cancer 3-Day benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Breast Cancer Fund, and are used for breast cancer research, education, and community outreach programs.

Each 3-Day is supported by a 100-person all volunteer Medical and Sports Medicine team which provides medical assistance and support for the walkers. This team is composed of physicians (MD; DO), physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses (RN; LVN/LPN), EMT's (Basic and Paramedic), physical therapists, athletic trainers and chiropractors, and works closely with a staff Medical Manager and Crew and Volunteer Coordinator who provide guidelines, training and other pertinent information regarding volunteer responsibilities.
